Billables AI Achieves SOC 2 Type II Certification

We're proud to announce that Billables AI has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type II certification, an independent, third-party validation of the security, availability, and confidentiality controls protecting our customers' data.

This milestone reflects months of rigorous auditing across our infrastructure, processes, and internal controls. It's also a natural extension of a principle we've built the product around from day one: you shouldn't have to sacrifice privacy to get accurate time tracking.

Why this matters

Time tracking software sits close to some of the most sensitive information in a business: what employees are working on, how long tasks take, and often, by extension, what clients and projects are underway. Any tool that touches that data needs to be held to a high standard.

SOC 2 Type II certification means an independent auditor didn't just check that we have the right security policies on paper. They verified, over a sustained period of time, that those controls were actually operating effectively in practice, covering areas like data security, system availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

Security without surveillance

Billables AI has always taken a different approach to secure time capture. While much of the market has leaned on invasive methods like screen monitoring, keystroke logging, and constant screenshots to track how time is spent, we've proven that accurate, trustworthy time tracking doesn't require watching over employees' shoulders.

We built Billables AI to capture time accurately and securely without screen monitoring, giving teams the data they need without compromising employee trust or privacy. This SOC 2 Type II certification formalizes what our customers already know: security and respect for privacy aren't in tension. They reinforce each other.
